Origin
  • The Bearded Irises has their name after the beards on the flowers lower petals.
  • Tall Bearded Irises becomes over 70 cm. in height.
  • Bred by K. Smith, 1942.
Flowering
  • Bright yellow upper petals.
  • Lower petals are dark yellow, heavily covered with dark maroon-brown.
  • Orange-yellow beards.
 
  • 2007: New this year. No flowers.
  • 2008: No flowers.
  • 2009: Flowered 14th of June. Moved this summer.
  • 2010: Flowered 10th of June.
  • 2011:
Growth and care
  • "Rajah" grows to about 1 meter in height.
  • It should be re-planted every few years to maintain a good flowering.
